The preservation of the fortification take you back in time to the Middle Ages; a special place crowned by the fortress-church of San Saturnino (13th century) that has been declared a Historical-Artistic Monument.

Particularly notable is the monumental Gothic façade of the church. Inside, a Gothic altarpiece made between 1505 and 1515 that has a carving of San Saturnino sitting down, a Gothic carving of the Virgin Mary and Child, and a Hispano-Flemish Gothic carving. Another curious elements of the church are the spiral stone staircase, the inventive inverted roof, and the battlemented parapet.

About 4 kilometres away, are the «Portillo de Enériz» and «Mina de Farangotea» prehistoric dolmens, one of the most important examples of megalithic architecture in Navarre.
